EduTeach provides small-group workshops for Primary School teachers across Birmingham and beyond, ensuring content is relevant and presented within reality. It facilitates the sharing of ideas and workshops are practitioner-led, offering delegates the chance to benefit from the experience of other teachers, and also to build contacts with schools. EduTeach works hard to maintain the quality of delivery that is expected and a good number of schools have used our services to date.

'Developing the RE Curriculum in the Primary Classroom'

Purposes and aims will be to;

• Examine latest reports on RE teaching; evaluating current practice
• Developing knowledge and understanding; using artefacts and Holy books
• Places of worship; practical approaches (with visit)
• Where do we go from here?; fitting into the planning and Action Plan.

'Managing Parents'

Next workshop, Friday 3rd February 2012. (NQTs/Recently Qualified Primary Teachers)

This workshop continues to receive excellent feedback and is a regular event for EduTeach. Full details under 'Workshops'.

'Managing Stress and Wellness Within School'

(For Primary teachers.) Following the success of the pilot event in May 2010, this expanded workshop will give delegates the opportunity to share within a supportive small-group setting. Max number 12. This workshop will be led by a practising teacher. Date; Friday 4th May 2012, Birmingham central.

New Subject Coordinators

Friday 2nd March FULL. New date Friday 9th March, half-day, Birmingham central; for recently qualified Primary teachers who have just started (or about to become) their first coordinator's role. Will examine role and responsibility as well as audits, action plans and what might need to go in the file! Based on the 'RE for New Coordinators' workshop that received excellent feedback from its pilot run in October 2011. Please note that this workshop is not subject specific. Developing Assessment in RE in KS1 and KS2

Workshop for Primary RE Coordinators at the beginning of developing this area.

Date; Friday 23rd March (Excellent feedback from January event)

Time; 9.15am (coffee) till 12.15pm (no lunch provision)

Location; Birmingham Central

Cost; £112 per delegate

The purposes and aims will be to;

• examine models of assessment in RE
• explore skills-based approach
• monitoring and evaluation; looking at work samples
• developing effective procedures

Delegates are asked to bring along work samples and planning to share with the group.
